I want to write consistently because I enjoy the challenge, it creates constraint around what I read, and it's the most enjoyable way for me to learn something technical.

So, every Sunday until the end of the year, I'll post something that's (ideally) a part of a broader theme regarding technology change.

Ideally, I take advantage of spare moments to read and write daily, and also to try to reach a bit of what Haruki Murakami describes as a "deeper state of mind":

  • “When I’m in writing mode for a novel, I get up at four a.m. and work for five to six hours. In the afternoon, I run 10 kilometers or swim 1500 meters (or do both), then I read a bit and listen to some music. I go to bed at nine p.m. I keep to this routine every day without variation. The repetition itself becomes the important thing; it’s a form of mesmerism. I mesmerize myself to reach a deeper state of mind.”

** I tried publishing to Paragraph, but no dice with my Coinbase Wallet tonight. Will keep trying.

** I watched Robinhood's cheeky announcement the other day, and I've two questions:

  • If I own stock tokens and can self-custody them away from RH, can I participate in collateralized lending / borrowing? If so, is this good for retail investors who have a relatively low risk tolerance?

  • RH wants to offer clients access to tokenized assets via art and real estate brokers. Which sector is best positioned to adopt tokenization quickly, and is tokenization the best way for retail investors to access this sector?
